Jason Capranos

A native of Brampton, Ontario, Jason Capranos is a current Class “A” PGA of Canada member and Teaching Professional at Turnberry Golf Club.

In 2020, Jason graduated from Humber Polytechnic - Business Administration - Professional Golf Management Program where he earned Honours and was the recipient of the 2019 David Dodge Economics Scholarship. In the same year Jason joined the PGA of Canada as an Apprentice Professional; playing in and getting his card at Station Creek Golf Club. In 2026 Jason earned his Class “A” status with the PGA of Canada.

For 10+ years Jason has delivered consistent high level Golf Operations service at Turnberry Golf Club, created junior programs for students on & off the golf course and delivered individualized coaching to thousands of students in the Peel Region. In 2024 Jason created & founded Drive Fore Success; a golf program designed to teach the game of golf during students Phys-Ed classes, introducing golf to 5000+ Peel School Board students in 2024 and 2025.

Outside of the game of golf; Jason attended workouts at Receiver (or SlotBack for all CFL fans!) for the Edmonton Elks (Video), Saskatchewan RoughRiders and Calgary Stampeders in 2023.

His most notable student to date is Bavake Sihota; current APGA Touring Professional, NCAA Div. 1 Scholarship Recipient, University of Michigan Alumni (2025), University of Michigan Golf Team (2020 - 2023), Eastern Michigan Golf Team (2024 - 2025), University of Detroit Mercy Golf Team (2025 - 2026).

Bavake is the former #1 Junior Golfer in Ontario via the World Amateur Golf Ranking and National Junior Golf Scoreboard, former #3 Junior Golfer in Canada via the World Amateur Golf Rankings and #2 Junior Golfer in Canada via National Junior Golf Scoreboard. Jason has worked in tandem with Bavake throughout his career spending 10+ years improving his swing mechanics, course management, strength & conditioning, and sport psychology.

Whether brand new to the game of golf or an experienced player looking to reach a low single digit handicap, Jason leans on his years of experience in golf, football & other sports to ensure that the improvement process is enjoyable, attainable, and flexible for students of all ages and skill levels.
